Deviled eggs are a timeless and loved starter that has been adorning tables for years. Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Paprika, for garnish

  • Fresh chives, finely chopped, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the eggs from the saucepan and place them in a bowl of ice water to cool.
  • Once the eggs are cool, peel them and cut them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a separate bowl.
  • Mash the egg yolks with a fork until they are smooth.
  • Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  • Scooping or piping the yolk mixture into the egg white halves, dividing it evenly among them.
  • Sprinkle the deviled eggs with paprika and chopped chives, if using.
  • Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Enjoy your delicious deviled eggs as a tasty appetizer or side dish!
